ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard contains a collection of test pages in standard file formats which can be used to measure the performance of the cartridge for colour ink and colour toner. This test suite is not intended to print photographs however, it does show typical pages used by consumers. The process to use the pages is described in ISO/IEC 19798 as well as ISO/IEC 24711.
IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) are the two specialized systems that are used worldwide to standardize. The members of IEC and ISO are able to participate in the creation of International Standards by joining technical committees. Each technical committee is responsible to address specific areas of technical activities. IEC and ISO technical committees cooperate in areas of common interest. Other international organizations, both non-governmental and government-related organizations, are also involved in the activities. ISO/IEC JTC 1 - Joint technical committee for information technology. International Standards are developed according to ISO/IEC Directives.
Part 2. Part 2.

Draft International Standards adopted by the joint technical committee are distributed to national bodies for their vote. The publication of an International Standard requires approval from at least 75% of the national bodies that cast a vote. It is possible that specific parts of this document may be protected by patent rights. See Information technology -- Office equipment for more info.

IEC or ISO shall not be held accountable for identifying any or every such patent right. Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC1 was responsible for ISO/IEC 24712, which was developed by the SubcommitteeSC28 Information technology. This new edition cancels and replaces the previous edition (ISO/IEC 24712:2006), of which it is a minor revision.

Test pages in color to determine office equipment consumable loss 1 Scope. The objective of the International Standard is to create colour test sheets for measuring the loss of consumables. The test pages consist of four types of documents for customers and one diagnostic page. These pages serve to determine when the ink or toner expires. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. All-in-one machines that can print digitally.

The International Standard provides a set of test pages in a standard format to be used for the evaluation of consumable yield. These pages are described in ISO/IEC 19988 and ISO/IEC 23711. These pages are meant to represent a few kinds of documents employed in offices and at in the home. These pages are not meant to be used for photo printing or any other special software. 2. Normative reference The following documents are required for the application. See iso 8601 for details.

Only the edition cited is valid for reference that has been dated. For undated refers to documents, the most recent edition of the referenced document (including amendments) is the one to use.
